The Final Countdown! Rules for returning to cutting! Please read!

Not long to go now and we shall be back to it. Albeit with a different way of working.

Most of you now know that we’ve moved premises, but that’s just the start.

Due to the restrictions etc, we’ve now had to adopt an appointment system to control the flow of people in and out of the shop.

We will have to wear all the relevant PPE, so we’ve got masks, gloves, disposable gowns and all the good stuff! We even have our own pirate themed scrubs!

We’ll be cleaning down between every client too, so we must allow some time in our schedule to accommodate this.

I must admit, I always wanted to avoid appointments, but if this works, it might just revolutionise how we do business though it’s too early to tell just yet.

We will still need to put a few extra things in place too.

Firstly, we’re asking all of our clients for some mutual honesty. If you feel unwell, please do not attend the shop. We’re happy to reschedule your appointment so please give us a call and remember that we won’t be able to greet you with our usual handshake or “bro hug”!

We’ll be recording temperatures upon entry, and in line with the rules, keeping a record of who has been in, along with contact details for Up to 4 weeks after. However, you can rest assured that these details will be kept under lock and key, and destroyed by incineration at their expiration. They will not be used for any purpose other than to contact our clients in the event of us being told that someone had tested positive for COVID-19.

There will be a sanitation station upon entry and we will be asking our clients to use the hand sanitizer provided as well as adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Given the size of the shop, we will be adopting the 1m+ mitigation rule. We will be wearing appropriate PPE, and whilst we can not absolutely insist that our clients wear masks, we strongly recommend it.

Any clients wearing gloves on arrival will be asked to remove them and use hand wash and facilities instead. Gloves are to prevent cross contamination, so if they’ve been worn outside, they will not be permitted into the shop, which will be sterile.

We’re also politely asking that our clients DO NOT use their mobile phones while in the shop for either text or calls. It’s nothing personal, but mobile phones carry our own bacteria from hands and faces, and once you’ve cleaned your hands, it’s another point of contact. Therefore we’re politely asking that they be placed on silent and safely in your pocket.

We are not able to provide toilet facilities, so please ensure that children and adults alike are prepared for this eventuality.

Please arrive promptly but not early for your appointment. We will not be allowing anyone in before the allocated timeslot. If you arrive late, we may not be able to fulfil your appointment.

For hygiene purposes, we will not be allowing the consumption of food or drinks within the shop nor providing any reading material for the time being.

Finally, we are asking that unless you are bringing your children in for a haircut that you please attend your appointment alone To allow for maximum social distancing within the shop.

We understand that some of these measure seems a little extreme, but safety of our staff and clients alike is of utmost importance.

For those that have booked your appointments, we look forward to seeing you! For those that haven’t, you can book by clicking HERE

Thanks for Reading
